COMMUNITY, HEALTH AND WORK

The threat of Covid-19 has highlighted in very stark ways the problems with existing ways of approaching questions of community, health and work, while at the same time showing the need for alternatives to them. The material shared in this section comes from existing initiatives taking up struggles for primary health care (PHC), for the rights of community health workers (CHWs), and other groups of precarious workers and from ongoing interviews and other related research being conducted by SWOP. Our aim is to facilitate ongoing discussion and debate, the production of new knowledge about these issues across different groups and sectors, as well as the sharing of experiences related to them. We begin here with a focus on CHWs.
