This is a unique book written and grounded on the particular positionalities, experiences and perspectives of some of the protagonists of the #FMF movement. This volume is based on a collective and creative process driven by some of the student activists. The #FMF movement challenged the power relations within a neoliberal university in a post-colonial context and brought to the fore other struggles within the broader society. The book provides a critical analysis of the movement drawing from its key pillars of Pan Africanism, intersectionality, Black radical feminism and student-worker solidarity. It explores how the movement reopened and deepened (redefined) the call for decolonised and decommoditised education.
