For many, social justice cannot be attained or imagined without ensuring the security of a regular wage for all. In this conversation, the idea of work is examined historically and critically through questions related to the ways in which wage labour has come to function to produce value, subjectivity, forms of social inclusion, social relations, and ideas of revolution, redistribution and change, with a particular eye on related problems thrown up by the current pandemic.
