"Emeritus Professor Eddie Webster, the founder of SWOP and the driving force behind the establishment of the field of Industrial Sociology in South Africa, was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Wits University.
At the graduation ceremony on the day, Eddie was the keynote speaker, and addressed the assembled students who are graduating that day on the theme of the three generations of students that he has encountered in the classroom, and their different perspectives on society and struggle.
